Infertility and the Male Problem

It doesn't matter what the cause of infertility among couples, the bottom line is that the cause is equally spread out among the sexes.  The unknown quantity is that there are causes that are completely unknown.  However, the good news is that there are remedies for other ailments that, unlikely as it seems, can also help infertility in men.  The most recent one is a common remedy for acetaminophen overdose that also helps out the sperm in a few different ways including giving it some needed energy.
Of course, not all of the problems of male infertility can be corrected.  Let's face it, some men just have a hard time with stress and anxiety.

The Limits of Infertility Insurance

It's difficult to get insurance coverage for infertility treatments, primarily because of the cost/benefit ratio.  It cost tens of thousands to go through the full battery of tests, procedures, in-vitro fertilization, cryopreservation or whatever is necessary using current medical procedures.  The benefits to the insurer is not so great.  They spend tens of thousands to produce just one possible future customer, while leaving nature to its own costs nothing.  Which makes more sense.
The insurance companies have lobbied the legislature not to mandate insurance coverage for the couples with infertility treatment needs.  Fifteen states have not complied and mandate fertility insurance. These states are:
Arkansas
California
Connecticut
Hawaii
Illinois
Louisiana
Maryland
Massachusettes
Montana
New Jersey
New York
Ohio
Rhode Island
Texas
West Virgina

The Latest Statistics on Infertility

It's interesting to note that infertility is a very fair condition that is split evenly among men, women and unknown.  Each has about 1/3 of the problems related to infertility spread equally.  Among the women however, there are many more things that can go wrong when compared to men.  For men it's usually down to either their sperm or anatomy.  With women the possibilities of something going wrong with the reproductive system is amazing.  Think of PCOS (cysts), hormones, scar tissue, and a host of other infertility causes.
Now, overall in the general population, only about 15% of couples in their child-bearing years are actually infertile.  Being one of that 15% does not help if you are trying hard to conceive.  The best thing to do if you are having a difficulties is to get a infertility specialist to test both parties for abnormalities.  The test to determine the cause takes time, but it will be worth it in the long run.

Infertility and male potency

Yeah, I know some men just can't make it happen.  Sitting there limp and feeling useless does not make a good choice for a woman trying to get pregnant.  There is a lot more to it then can be cured with a quick trip to the magazine store.
Infertility and male potency is a problem that has many sources of concern, aside from the anatomy, the libido often has to be in a peak performance mode in order for the testosterone & sperm to do their job.  Needless to say, all of this is related to the male ego and it is the basis for existence.  Just because a couple are compatible in everyday living, doesn't mean that they are compatible in the bedroom.  There are some instances where the cause for male impotency rather than male potency are rooted deep in the psyche.  Finding the cause requires a trip to a clinic or doctor specializing in the field of infertility.
